KSAT12 SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLS A BRAND NEW ANTENNA.
On August 30, 2011 KSAT12 installed a brand new antenna on our tower. This antenna replaced a very old antenna and will provide a better signal for all viewers who watch KSAT12 via the over-the-air signal, using an antenna and digital converter box.
INDOOR/OUTDOOR ANTENNA
If you are currently using an indoor or outdoor antenna with a converter box, you may have lost our signal. This was expected and you must now adjust your antenna and have your converter box scan for channels once again. If you need assistance finding our signal, please feel free to call our Engineering Department at 210-351-1200 and someone will help you.
CABLE/SATELLITE PROVIDER
If you are watching television through a cable or satellite provider, you should not see any disruption to our signal. Our satellite and cable provider partners have taken measures to ensure you don’t lose our station during this transition. If you watch TV using a cable or satellite provider and you do lose our signal during this process, please call our Engineering Department at 210-351-1200.
STILL HAVE PROBLEMS NOT RECEIVING KSAT12
If you are still experiencing difficulty getting our signal, please try moving your antenna and rescan. Moving the antenna near a window and away from solid walls may help. You may have to do this many times in order to find a signal. There may still be areas in and around South Texas where over-the-air television signals are hard to get. Special antennas can improve the chances of receiving these signals. If you still can't get a signal you can try to contact several companies that will come out to your house and assist you. There is usually a cost involved and it will vary depending on each installation.
